Uttar Pradesh Free Housing Scheme – Houses for Poor by Adityanath Yogi

Adityanath Yogi has presented Free Housing Scheme, Department of Housing & Urban Planning is working to prepare a plan to provide affordable houses for welfare of poor people in Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh Free Housing Scheme

  • Free housing scheme aims to provide houses to people who are very poor or does not have their own house. Free Houses will be provided to them free of cost.
  • Poor & Homeless people are the main beneficiaries of this housing scheme. Along with this government will provide houses on affordable cost to Low Income Group (LIG) candidates
  • Under Free Housing Scheme Central & State Government is going to provide donation to EWS (Economically Weaker Section) candidates. Amount of donation has been mentioned below:

Central Government: Rs. 1,50,000/-
State Government: Rs. 1,00,000/-

Government will select eligible applicants for free housing on the basis of Garib Kalyan Card (Poor Welfare Card). These cards will be issued to people by government, which will help them to avail benefits of every welfare scheme launched by government.
Around 35 lakh poor families have been selected for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana by SUDA.
