Government has started Maha Awas Yojana Gramin [y] for poor people living in rural areas. CMO Maharashtra has tweeted about the official launch of the MAY Gramin Scheme which states.

Maha Awas Yojana Gramin Application Form

Maharashtra government has launched new housing scheme named Maha Awas Yojana Gramin (MAY -G) [y]. Under this MAY – G  housing scheme, around 8,82,125 houses would be buit in rural areas in 100 days period. The apply online process for Maha Awas Yojna will start soon. All the interested applicants would then be able to fill Maha Awas Yojana Gramin online application / registration form. Till then, check the scheme details such as eligibility criteria, documents list etc.

It is expected that the newly launched Maha Awas Yojana would follow the similar lines of central govt’s flagship Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G). The state govt. of Maharashtra may invite online application / registration forms for MAY-G rural housing scheme. Maharashtra govt. may invite these application forms through the official website of the state govt. or a new dedicated portal. The how to apply online process for Maha Awas Yojana Gramin is still not known as the complete details would be available only after the official notification about the scheme is released.

MAY Gramin Application Form

Individuals can contact their respective ward or Gram Panchayat. The applicants are required to fill up a MAY Gramin Application Form. The application form, along with other details, can be obtained from the Gram Panchayat. Applicants can take help from a third party. In order to do so, the respective third party will require a consent document from the applicant, allowing the use of the Aadhaar number of the applicant.

The beneficiaries are selected from the list prepared by the Gram Sabha. The registration process for the PMAYG includes four sections, which are providing personal details, bank account details, convergence details and details from the concerned office.

Maha Awas Yojana Gramin (MAY-G) Eligibility

There are following eligibility criteria for Maha Awas Yojana Gramin application form.

  • Houseless families or families living in kutcha houses with zero, one or two rooms.
  • Households without any male adult aged between 19 to 59 years.
  • Households without a literate adult with a minimum age of 25 years.
  • Households with a disabled member.
  • Households without any bodily-abled member.
  • Households not owning land and earning from casual labour.
  • Families belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Minority categories.
  • Families that do not own any motorized vehicle, agriculture equipment or fishing boat.
  • Individuals with a Kisan Credit Card with a limit of ₹ 50,000 or more.
  • Households without a government employee or individuals earning ₹ 10,000 or more.
  • Individuals who do not pay any professional tax, including income tax.

List of Required Document for Maha Awas Yojana – G

The following documents are required from MAY Gramin housing scheme.

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Bank account details of the applicant
  • Document of consent allowing the use of Aadhaar on behalf of the applicant
  • Salary Certificate and proof of income
  • MGNREGA-registered beneficiary job card number
  • Swachh Bharat Mission number of the applicant
  • Ethnic Group Certificate
  • NOC from a housing society
  • An affidavit stating the applicant or any of the family members owns a pucca house.

Maha Awas Abhiyan

Maharashtra’s Rural Development department will undertake Maha Awas Abhiyan which will include toilets and other necessary amenities. Currently, the cost of the project has been estimated to be around Rs 4,000 crore. However, during the launch of the project, the Chief Minister has assured that funds scarcity will not be an issue.

A total of 8,82,135 houses are targeted to be built under this project by 28 February 2021. All should ensure pucca and strong homes are built under the initiative. The houses should be so ideal and beautiful that people from other states should come to see these houses. The state govt. will ensure that not a single family in rural areas will be without a home.

PM आवास योजना 2020 के अंतर्गत मध्य प्रदेश में बने 1.75 लाख घर

प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना ग्रामीण के तहत मध्य प्रदेश में कोरोना काल में 1.75 लाख घरों का निर्माण कराया गया। प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी 12 सितम्बर को मध्य प्रदेश में प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना ग्रामीण के तहत बनाये गए मकानों का उदघाटन करेंगे और गृह प्रवेश में भाग लेंगे।

देश भर में सबको घर नसीब हो इसके लिए केंन्द्र सरकार राज्य सरकारों के साथ मिलकर काम कर रही है। प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना के तहत लोगों घर मुहैया कराने के लिए लगातार प्रयास किए जा रहे है। प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना ग्रामीण के तहत मध्य प्रदेश में बनाये गए घरों का उदघाटन और गृह प्रवेशं 12 सितम्बर को प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी के जरिए होगा।

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) earlier known as Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) is a scheme for rural housing by the Indian Government. This social welfare program was initiated to meet the objective of the “Housing for All” scheme by the year 2022.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is a flagship project that aims to provide affordable housing to the urban poor. This housing scheme aims to build economical houses in selected cities and towns using eco-friendly construction methods.

PM Awas Yojan- Gramin only those people are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme who are homeless or reside in one or two room kutcha houses according to the data Collection from the social-Economic and Caste-Census 2011.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Gramin

Pradhan mantri Awas Yojana- Gramin was launched to address the housing gaps exixting in the rural area. PMAY-G objective to provide pucca houses with basic facilities along with a hygienic kitchen to those living in kutcha houses. The houses built under the PMAY-G Housing Scheme, are low cost and disaster-resilient. The minimum size of the houses built under the PMAY-G scheme has been increased from 20 sq. mt to 25 sq. mt.

    Eligibility for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin

    There are certain parameters based on which beneficiaries are identified for PMAY-G Scheme

    • Only Indian citizens can apply for PMAY-G scheme
    • Families who do not have own houses or houses that have zero, one or maximum 2 rooms with a Kutcha wall and roof.
    • Senior citizens and those who are differently abled are eligible for scheme
    • One who already onws a house cannot apply for the scheme
    • Those who have already availed the benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana can not apply again for the PMAY scheme
    • Those who belong to the low-income group (LIG) and economically weaker section (EWS) in the Society are eligible
    • Indian citizens who are from scheduled tribes and castes are eligible for the scheme

    Features of PMAY-G Scheme

    The key feature of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are as follows:

      The construction cost of the houses will be shared in a 60:40 ratio between the central and state government in plain areas, i.e. Rs.1.20 lakh of assistance for each unit.
      The rural areas located in the Himalayan states, northeastern states, and the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu & Kashmir, the ratio is 90:10, i.e the central government will bear 90% of the cost and the state government will finance 10% amounting up to Rs. 1.30 lakh of assistance for each unit.
    • 100% financing will be offered by the Central government for the construction of houses in Union Territories including the newly formed union territory of Ladakh
    • PMAY-G scheme is associated with other central government scheme such as Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin through which, the assistance of up to Rs.12,000 for the construction of toilets will be provided in collaboration with MGNREGS or other scheme.
    • Beneficiaries who wish to avail of a loan this scheme will be facilitated to get monetary assistance of up to Rs. 70,000 from a leading institution.

    Bihar Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana 2018 – Rs.1.2 Lakh for Construction of Houses to SC/ST/OBC Families

    The state government of Bihar has launched Mukhayamantri Gramin Awas Yojana for SC/ST/OBC families of Bihar state. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated this ambitions hosing scheme. Under the Mukhayamantri Gramin Awas Yojana scheme, the state government will provide an assistance of Rs.1.2 lakh for rebuilding of homes to those people who have been allotted houses before 1996 under India Awas Yojana or other housing scheme. In the first 5 months, more than 20,000 beneficiaries willget assistance amount from the state government under Mukhayamantri Gramin Awas Yojana scheme.

    The primary objective of the government behind launching the Mukhayamantri Gramin Awas Yojana (MGAY) is to improve the condition of the homes of the poor families and to live in a good home. Along with the launch of Mukhayamantri Gramin Awas Yojana (MGAY) scheme, the state government has also launched Mukhyamantri Vass Sthal Kray Sahayata Yojana to provide assistance of Rs.60,000 to purchase land and to make them eligible for assistance under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) housing scheme.

    Bihar Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana (MGAY)

    All those people who have been allotted new houses under Indira Awas Yojana or other housing scheme before the financial year 1996 can now get the financial assistance of Rs.1.2 lakh for reconstruction of houses. The state government has launched this scheme because the houses allotted before 1996 are now in disreputable conditions and needs to be reconstructed. This scheme will benefits particularly people belonging to SC/ST/OBC category resides in these houses.

    During the launching program of this scheme.CM Nitish kumar transferred the assistance amount in the bank account of 200 beneficiaries.

    Jaisalmer Awas Yojana 2017-18 under PMAY-Gramin

    Jaisalmer Awas Yojana 2017-18: A 3 day fair is being organized at the different locations of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan under PM Awas Yojana – Gramin to provide affordable houses to the eligible families of the city. Main motive of this fair is to identify needy families. Government has targeted to construct houses. Fair will be held at the head office of Gram Panchayat.

    PMAY (Gramin) – 5.54 lakh Houses Got Approval in Uttar Pradesh

    Around 5.54 lakh houses have got approval to be constructed in Uttar Pradesh under PM Awas Yojana – Gramin. Out of which first installment has been released to 4.95 lakh beneficiaries under self-construction component of PMAY-G. Government targeted to build about 9.6 lakh houses in the state during year 2017-18. A different number of houses will be constructed in every year, mentioned below:

    5.73 lakh houses – In year 2016-17
    3.96 lakh houses – In year 2017-18

    Details of Houses under PMAY-G, Uttar Pradesh

    Area of houses will be 25 sq. meter including a room & kitchen. Government has made it compulsory to construct toilet in every house under Swachh Bharat Mission & MGNREGA. Toilet will be built separately.
    Officials have received 6.65 registrations & 6.22 lakh beneficiaries have been identified by Geo-Tagging.

    Financial Assistance

    Financial assistance of Rs. 1,20 lakh will be provided to beneficiaries into following installments:

    • First Installment – Rs. 40,000/-
    • Second Installment – Rs. 70,000/-
    • Third Installment – Rs. 10,000/-

    Candidates residing in Naxal affected areas will be provided financial assistance of Rs. 1,30 lakh under a different provision, Installment are mentioned below:

    • First Installment – Rs. 44,000/-
    • Second Installment – Rs. 76,000/-
    • Third Installment – Rs. 10,000/-

    Financial assistance will be contributed by Central & State Government in ratio of 60:40.
    Any candidate wishing to work as a construction worker under PMAY-Rural in UP, will be paid daily wages, mentioned below:

    Rs. 15,750/- monthly for 90 working days.
    Rs. 16,625/- monthly for 90 working days.

    PM Awas Yojana Gramin UP – Govt. to Distribute Letters for Houses

    Central State Minister Sadhavi Niranjan Jyoti will be distributing letters of acceptance to selected beneficiaries of PMAY-G (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin) at Fatehpur district in Uttar Pradesh. Acceptance Letter would be given to beneficiaries selected under PMAY-G 2016-17. Government would also organize motivational Camps.

    Schedule for Distributing Acceptance Letters

    Government would be held letter distributing program on said below schedule:

    • Date: 8 July 2017 (Saturday)
    • Timing: At 1 o’clock
    • Venue: Auditorium of Vikas Bhawan

    Ashok Kumar Nigam, Project Director of District Development Agency told that Motivation Camp will be organized on said time, date & venue. Main motive of this camp is to distribute letters to beneficiaries & to provide them necessary information about implementation this project. Letters will be distributed to 10-10 beneficiaries of each section in presence of Madan Pal Arya District Officer & Indumati Chief Development Officer.

    All eligible applicants are suggested to be present at letter distributing program to participate & to get their own acceptance letter.

    PMAY-Gramin – Govt. to Provide Houses to 3,700 Poor Families in UP

    Government of Uttar Pradesh will be providing affordable houses to 3,700 poor families in municipal area of Sitapur, UP under PM Awas Yojana (Gramin). To ensure that every poor family has their own house, Rural Development Minister will be providing letter of acceptance to all beneficiaries today. Selection of applicants has already been made.

    Here we want to notify you that for distributing acceptance letter a program will be organized in Reusa today. This will be done under guidance of Mahendra Singh (Minister of Rural Development).
    Minister has ensured to provide benefits of PMAY-Rural to poor families who don’t have pucca house or living without house.

    All applicants, who had applied to buy a house under PMAY-Gramin, are suggested to be present at organized program for allotment of houses & to get their letter of acceptance.

    Check Details of Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana (PMAY-G )

    Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin an ambitious housing scheme approved by PM Narendra Modi. PMAY-G housing scheme aims to provide affordable houses to people living in rural areas, which was launched all over the country excluding Delhi & Chandigarh. Selection process of beneficiaries will be done through date of Socio-Economics Caste Census 2011. Beneficiaries of this scheme will get unskilled wage labor for 90/95 days under MGNREGA. Which will be directly deposited to their bank accounts.

    Key Features of PMAY-G

    Here are some key features of this housing scheme, we have explained below:

    • A budget of Rs. 81,975 crore has been allotted for this purpose & time period form 2016-17 to 2018-19 has been set up for the completion of PMAY-G.
    • Budget will be collected through various sources, Rs. 60,000 crore will be contributed through budgetary allocations & rest of amount will come from Nabard.

    PMAY-G Home Loan Scheme 2017

    • 3% Assistance in interest is applicable on any home loan of Rs. 2 lakh (Taken in 2017) for maintenance or upgradation of house under PMAY-G.
    • An optional loan of Rs. 70,000/- will also be given to beneficiaries for construction of houses.

    Eligibility Criteria for PMAY-G

    Candidates will be rejected from original SECC Data List on basis of below parameters, candidate should not own any of them:

    Motorized two/three/four wheeler/ Fishing Boat.
    Mechanized three/ four wheeler Agricultural Equipment.
    Kisan Credit Card with credit limit of Rs.50,000 or above.
    Household with any member as a Government employee.
    Households with Non-Agricultural Enterprises registered with the Government.
    Any family member earning Rs.10,000 or more monthly.
    Paying Income Tax.
    Paying Professional Tax.
    Own a Refrigerator.
    Own Landline Phone.
    Own 2.5 acres or more of irrigated land with at least one irrigation equipment.
    5 acres or more of irrigated land for two or more crop seasons.
    Owning at least 7.5 acres of land or more with at least one irrigation equipment.
