Amrapali Group has announced Amrapali adarsh Awas Yojana only for serving or retied government employees. Government`s mission of providing Housing For All by 2022 is set to take-off in a big way very soon as more and more developers are coming forward to announce their affordable projects in line with the this mission.

Adarsh Awas Yojana will be a part of 100 acres of land in Greater Noida (west) with appoximately 5000 number of flats to be constructed of 975 to 1300 sq. ft onwards in 2-3 BHK formats at a price of Rs.22 lakh and above.

A new urban housing mission which has already been approved by the Union Cabinet. Under the mission, the goal is construct around 2 crore houses across 4041 statutory town and cities by 2022.

Government of Odisha is committed to provide Pucca house to all the rural households living in Kutcha house. The state government of Odisha launched Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana (BPGY) housing scheme with the objective to convert all kutcha house into Pucaa house in rural area of the state.

Odisha Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana was launched by the Chief Minister of Odisha statewith the aim of government can provide houses to all the beneficiaries who are living in kutcha ghar or home in the state. Odisha govt. introduced the BPGY housing scheme in the raw houses for the people of Odisha living in rural areas. A pucca house means that it should be able to withstand normal wear & tear due to usage and nature forces including climatic conditions.

Specification of Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana (BPGY)

The specification of Pucca house under the Odisha Housing Scheme Biju Pucca Ghar Yojana (BPGY) is following

  • Material : It should have foundation, wall and roof of permanent material
  • Wall Material : Fly ash bricks, burnt bricks, stones (packed with lime or cement), cement concrete etc.
  • Roof Material : Tiles, GCI (Galvanized Conrrugated Iron) sheets, Asbestos cement sheet, RBC (Reinforced Brick Concrete) and RCC (Reinforced Cement Concrete) etc
  • Life Time : The expected life of the structure must be a minimum of 30 years.

Govt. Sanctions 1.23 Lakh More Affordable Houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban (PMAY-U) in 47th CSMC Meeting

Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has approved the construction of another 1.23 lakh more affordable houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) for the benefit of urban poor. The approval was given in the 47th meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee(CSMC) held on 25 September 2019.

According to an official statement, the approval of these proposals cumulative sanctions of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) mission has achieved a milestone of more than 90 Lakh houses gainst the validated demand of 1.12 crore.

The Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee(CSMC) has approved 630 proposals from participating states for construction of 1.23 Lakh houses with an overall investment of Rs.4,988 core. The commitment from the government of India as Central assistance will be Rs.1,805 core.

An overall investment of Rs.5.54 lakh crore has been approved which includes Rs 3.01 lakh crore from the central and state government while Rs. 2.53 lakh crore as private investment.The central government has committed Rs.1.43 lakh crore of which Rs.57,758 crores has already been released.

About 53.5 lakh houses have been grounded for Construction of which construction of more than 27 lakh houses has been completed,”said MoHUA Secretary, Durga Shanker Mishra, emphasizing on government`s efforts towards completion of projects to achieve Housing for All by 2022.

2 Lakh More Houses Sanction under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban (PMAY-U)in CSMC 40th Meeting

Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) sanctions 205,442 affordable Houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY-U). Government is going to provide more than 2 lakh affordable houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY-U) housing scheme to the urban poor people.

The approval of 205,442 houses under PMAY-U was given in the 40th meeting of the Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC)

Government has approved 205,442 affordable houses under this housing scheme, Maharashtra has been sanctioned 116,042 more affordable houses and Karnataka 31,657. The incremental number of houses sanctioned for bihar is 26,880 while Tamil Nadu has been sanctioned 15,529 houses and Jammu & Kashmir, 15,334 houses.

2.75 lakh people have benefited from the credit link subsidy scheme in which Economically weaker Section (EWS), Lower Income Group (LIG) and Middle Income Group (MIG) are included. By the end of the this financial year,aim to cross 4 lakh beneficiaries. Around Rs.6,000 crore loan has been sanctioned.

3.5 million houses have been approved for construction and 1.2 million have been handed over to people till now. Officials targeting to complete around 3 million houses this financial year.

A total of 392 projects with a cost of Rs.7,391 crore with a central assistance of Rs.3,082 crore were approved at the meeting.

51 Lakh Houses Sanctioned under PMAY(Urban) in 3 Years of its Implementation

Government has sanctioned more than 51 lakh housing units under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) against the validated demand of one crore in last three years of implementation.This is a huge jump in comparison to erstwhile housing scheme where in only 12.4 lakh houses were approved in around 9 year of its implementation.Out of over 51 lakh sanctioned houses, over 28 lakhs have already been ground and are in various stages of construction. Further over 8 Lakh house have already been completed and nearly 8 lakh houses have been occupied by the beneficiaries.

The Global Housing Construction Technology Challenge (GHTC-I) may help us adopt those technologies to suit our local conditions and requirements. It is win-win Situation for all stakeholders which would help in fast transition of new global construction technologies in India giving a fillip to building affordable houses in India in cost effective and sustainable manner.

Infact, Use of new and fast-track construction technology has already been adopted in a big way in the scheme. GoI has been insisting States/UTs to issue technology-agnostic tenders for construction of large scale housing. CPWD has approved schedule of rates for 8 types of new technology available in the country. so far, construction of nearly 8.6 lakh houses is being done using these new technologies, while are fast and environment sensitive. Progress of the houses on the ground are being monitored through geo-tagging using space technology.

In terms of coverage, the Mission in a paradigm shift in the history of housing schemes being implemented in the past. Government of India is committed to provide “Housing for All”by the end of the Mission period-2022. A National Urban Housing Fund for Rs.60,000 crores has been set up for raising Extra Budgetary Resources (EBR) in phases, for the rapid Implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban).Keeping the ethos of cooperative federalism, the States/UTs are implementing the scheme with considerable zeal and initiatives.

Central Government Sanctioned 2,17,900 More Houses for PMAY Urban

As PM Awas Yojana has been working to make affordable houses to weaker section of the society moving forward in this direction Union Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs has approved 2,17,173 more houses under PMAY Urban in 6 states. Though 26,13,568 dwelling units have been sanctioned so far along with an investment of Rs. 1,39,621 crore.

PMAY Uttar Pradesh – Yogi Adityanath Aims to Build 10 lakh Houses in 2017

CM of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has proposed to construct around 10 lakh houses in the rural areas of UP under PM Awas Yojana. Also he made an announcement to accomplish Housing for All mission within 12 months. An additional 2 lakh houses will be constructed for poor families residing in urban areas, construction of 12 lakh houses (urban & rural areas) will be done under PMAY.

According to the sources, there are around 48 lakh homeless people in the rural areas of Uttar Pradesh. To rehabilitate them & to provide affordable dwelling unit to such families, construction of houses will be started by the year 2017.

As Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is an ambitious housing scheme, which works to provide safer housing units to needy people. Government of Uttar Pradesh will implement UP Housing Scheme in association of PMAY.
CM has ensured to make housing units easily available to poor families of the state.

Other Benefits

Government would provide financial assistance to eligible families residing in rural areas, as mentioned below.

  • Financial assistance of Rs. 1.20 lakh will be given to beneficiary.
  • Rs. 12,000 for the construction of toilet.
  • Rs. 15,700/- would be given to beneficiaries if they construct house by themselves.

So far 5,129 families (in urban areas) have been found eligible who would be given financial assistance so that they don’t face financial problems. An amount provided by government has been mentioned below:

  • Rs. 1.5 – 2.5 lakh – By Central Government
  • Rs. 1 lakh – By State Government

CHB Chandigarh Housing Scheme 2017 for 10,000 Flats under PM Awas Yojana

Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) soon to construct about 10,000 flats in first phase of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Authority organized a meeting to consider the required number of houses to be constructed at various locations of Chandigarh. As a conclusion of this meeting, a decision was taken to build flats in EWS (Economically Weaker Section), LIG (Low Income group), MIG (Middle Income Group)-(I) & MIG-(II) categories.

Construction of houses will be started in the month of October 2017. To identify required number of houses, board held a demand survey in all urban areas of Chandigarh & board has already started verifying all applications which were received during demand survey. Around 25,000 applicants were found eligible. .

Details of Flats under PM Awas Yojana

Administration has found around 110 acre land for implementing CHB Chandigarh Housing Scheme 2017. Board has ensured to provide land on subsidized rates.

Required Eligibility

To apply for Chandigarh Housing Scheme, candidate needs to meet eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

  • Candidate must be a resident of Chandigarh & residing in urban area.
  • Must have Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card.
  • Annual income of applicant must be Rs. 6-12 lakh for MIG-I & Rs. 12-18 lakh for MIG-II.

Beneficiaries will be provided subsidy on interest, which is different for every category candidate.

Authority had invited applications from public through Online, Offline mode & through E-Sampark Centers for allotment of flats. About 1.23 lakh applications have been submitted by the applicants. Authority is verifying candidates who are eligible to buy house.

According to officers, 36,382 applications through manually/offline mode, 40,524 through online mode & 45,993 application through E-Sampark Centers were made.

Out of 1.23 lakh applications, 51,000 people have been found selected.

Houses will be allotted to 10,000 beneficiaries under phase-I of PMAY. Possession will be given by July 2019.
Allotment Process: Allotment process of houses will be based on draw of lots.

Administration has started identifying vacant land to fulfil land requirement for construction of flats. To consider this matter, CM of Puducherry & Lt. Governor of Delhi attended a meeting. As a conclusion houses will be built in Chandigarh. Chairman of CHB has ensured to complete project within 18 months as to provide houses to applicants as soon as possible.

Kerala Housing Scheme 2017-18 : 70,000 Houses to be Built by 31 March 2018

The state government of Kerala has announced to build around 70,000 houses in Thiruvananthapuram by March 2018. CM Pinarayi Vijayan has ordered to speed up the construction of housing units so that houses can be allotted to beneficiaries. Land has been identified to construct Flat complexes will in some selected areas for homeless or landless candidates.
Houses will be constructed under LIFE Mission. Government will also offer those houses which were taken under other housing scheme.

Details of Houses

Government has ensured to provide affordable houses to each genuine candidate. Here we have explained details of houses that are offered under Kerala Housing Scheme 2017-18.

  • Each housing unit will be constructed in 400 sq. feet.
  • Total estimated cost of houses will be Rs. 4 lakh.
  • A kitchen, Bedroom, Toilet & a Hall will be attached with each house.

If any candidate is deprived of housing scheme benefits, an appeal can be made to the concerned committee.
Allotment of Houses: Houses will be allotted to candidates on basis of priority (Deserving candidates having no house or land).
