PMAY Jamshedpur – 6,000 Houses for Poor

Government to construct 6,000 houses for slum dwellers & poor people in Jamshedpur under PM Narendra Modi’s housing scheme named Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Around 25 Acre land is required for the construction of houses as told by Executive officer of Municipal Corporation Suresh Yadav. To know the required numbers of houses, they held a survey in Jamshedpur.

Construction will be done under 4 components of PMAY. In 1st component of PMAY, officers have selected 909 candidates for self-construction of houses. Selection of candidates has been made on criteria of annual family income under Rs. 3 lakh & does not have their own house at any location in the country.

Providing Rs. 2.25 lakh for Construction

  • Under self-construction component of PMAY, Government will provide Rs. 2.25 lakh. Amount will be given to beneficiary in 4 installments.
  • After receiving 1st installment, candidates who has not started construction, will be rejected/ cancelled from list. Also they will be announced as non-eligible applicants.
  • Candidates who has received 1st installment needs to visit City Manager Rahul Kumar & Rohit Rahul Samad along with photos of construction. All applicants are advised to complete construction work by 20th June 2017.

Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme

Applicants may get benefits of 6% subsidy on interest of home loan upto Rs. 6 lakh. So far, 213 candidates has applied for subsidy on interest under CLSS.
