PM Awas Yojana – 10,000 Houses to be Built by HRDA in Uttarakhand

Central government has come up with new housing scheme by sanctioning around 10,000 houses under PM’s flagship scheme as PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana). Water Corporation of Uttar Pradesh will be responsible for designing & constructing houses in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.

This housing project will be implemented in guidance of HRDA (Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority).
To make availability of land government has allowed to use land of Indralok Awasiya Yojana-II for PMAY in Uttarakhand. So that affordable houses are easily available to poor families.

Required Eligibility

Government has set up an eligibility criteria to buy house under PMAY Uttarakhand. Candidates need to meet following requirements:

  • Applicant must be a resident of municipal area since 17 June 2015 or before.
  • Candidate should not be an owner of any house anywhere in the country.
  • Candidate having katcha house (Max. carpet area 110 sq. meter).

Registrations are expected to be open soon for PMAY Uttarakhand.

Allotment Process: Government will allot houses on basis of list that will be finalised by Municipal Corporation.
Government is committed to complete construction of houses by 2022, for which a comprehensive plan has been prepared. Government has already given approval to this plan. Financial assistance in form of subsidy will be provided to each beneficiaries by Central Government.
