MHUPA Sanctioned 70,784 more Houses in Uttar Pradesh under PMAY-Urban

Ministry of Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation (MoHUPA) has sanctioned to construct 1,27,674 affordable houses with investment of Rs. 6,532 crore for urban poor under Pradhan Mantri Urban Awas Yojana (PMAY-U). Under this project 70,784 houses will be constructed in UP & decided to invest Rs. 3,528 crore to complete this project.

Rs. 1,062 crore has been approved as central assistance. A proposal for constructing affordable houses in 145 different cities has been approved as a conclusion of a meeting held between M. Venkaiah Naidu minister of MHUPA & CM of UP Adityanath Yogi.

Earlier 41,254 houses have been sanctioned under Rajiv Awas Yojana. After tying up this scheme with PMAY-Urban, a total of 1,12,738 houses will be built in UP.
