MHADA Proposes to Construct 15,000 Housing Units in Maharashtra

A good news for the Mumbai people who are living in MHADA colonies. Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority is going to start redevelopment project in Mumbai. The MHADA is planning to redevelop its 56 old colonies where about 80,000 gamilies are living right now.

Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority has decided to construct more than 15,000 housing units in Maharashtra. These housing units will be sold vai MHADA Lottery. MHADA has collected nearly Rs.741 core by selling homes and in coming fiscal MHADAis expecting to generate Rs.3966 core by selling homes across the state. According to Officially information of MHADA the budget was mostly focused on proving affordable home and hence it clearly mentions the construction of 15,000 housing units in the coming fiscal.

As per information, 55 layouts have been approved in the BMC and 15 Layouts have got Letter of Intent(LOI). In order to give progress in MHADA redevelopment project and it has also demand special planning authority.
