Government will be launching affordable housing scheme to provide 40,000 houses to homeless people in urban areas of Ranchi, Jharkhand. Town Development & Housing Department is seeking for an agency on global level to implement affordable housing scheme in the city. Houses will be constructed with area of 450 sq. feet with a budget of Rs. 2,200 crore, to be spent over this housing project.
Jharkhand Affordable Housing Scheme
This housing scheme will consider Economically Weaker BPL & APL categories under Urban Development & Housing Department of Jharkhand. Government has ordered to construct houses in every urban areas of Jharkhand civic bodies.
PMAY vertical-III, targeted 40,000 houses will be provided to candidates belonging to economically weaker section in 1st phase.
Each house will have a bedroom, dining room, kitchen & bathroom.
Poor families, who don’t have their own house or land, will be benefited. Officials have been conducting demand survey to receive application forms from general public.
Candidates wishing to apply, they can submit their application form in Jharkhand Civic Bodies though people have already applied in a huge number.
Town Development & Housing Department has set started inviting agencies for implementation this project, invitations are open till 14 August 2017. Houses will be built through PPP (Public-Private Partnership) Mode.
Department has acquired land for construction of houses. Soon construction will be started. Thus providing affordable houses to poor families in urban areas will be made easier.
