Government will Construct 1.93 lakh Houses in Andhra Pradesh

The state government of Andhra Pradesh is ready to construct 1.93 lakh houses within upcoming 15 months under PMAY. More than 1.20 lakh houses will be constructed in urban areas. Out of these houses, 19,000 housing units will be completed to acquire by Sankranti festival.

Construction of houses will be done under Affordable Housing Programme (AHP) component of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Housing for All (HFA)-Urban & Economically Weaker Section (EWS) houses.

In various districts average construction cost is estimated to be Rs. 1,567 per sq. feet. Flats for weaker sections of society will be built in ground plus three model of 300, 365, 430 sq. feet. To make Housing for All mission a huge success, a team was appointed to visit various 29 states to review housing policies, expenditure & standards to be followed for construction of housing units.

Central Government subsidy of Rs. 1.50 lakh & State Government subsidy of Rs. 1 lakh will be applicable to each beneficiary. Candidate may also get loan from bank upto Rs. 75,000/-
