Government Sanctioned 37,506 Houses in Orissa under PMAY – Urban

Central Government has sanctioned a total of 37 housing projects in Orissa under which 37,056 houses will be constructed. All these projects have been approved under PM Awas Yojana – Urban to complete Housing for All Mission. This may be consider as a major step towards providing affordable houses to weaker section of the society.

For constructing about 37,056 houses in the state, it requires a huge amount to be invested. A total of Rs. 1,519.86 crore will be invested for the completion of this housing project. Out of this a financial assistance of Rs. 532.59 crore has also been provided by the Central Government to ensure that enough amount is to be invested so that houses can be constructed without facing any trouble.

After receiving applications from candidates who were interested to buy house, authority verified all applications & first installment has been distributed under PMAY-Urban. That will support all beneficiaries for constructing houses under self construction component of PM Awas Yojana. Rest of the installments will be released to beneficiaries soon.
