Delhi Govt. to Build 582 EWS Flats – Jahan Jhuggi Wahan Makan Scheme

Delhi Government has launched a new housing scheme named as Jahan Jhuggi Wahan Makan to construct 582 flats for Economically Weaker Section (EWS). The main motive behind this scheme is to rehabilitate poor families & to provide new affordable flats to them.

Under Jahan Jhuggi Wahan Makan scheme flats will be constructed at area, which is located just few meters away from Rana Pratap Bagh in South Delhi’s Sangam Park.
Building under this projects will be multi-storied. Around 12-18 floors will be on each building with lift & parking facility.

Each EWS flat includes – one bedroom, a small living room & balcony, one bathroom & a kitchen.
Flats will be ready within upcoming 2-3 years. This housing project will be executed by DUSIB. Responsibility for constructing flats has been given to Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB).
