Central Government may sanction around 3.5 lakh more houses to Tamil Nadu under PM Awas Yojana (Urban). Government of Tamil Nadu had urged to increase the number of houses that are constructed at the various locations of TN. around 2.49 lakh houses have been approved under PMAY Tamil Nadu.
Senior officials of the Union Housing & Urban Affairs had reviewed various housing schemes that have been launched in the state. He proposed to conduct a PMAY Demand Survey to identify needy people so that affordable houses become easily available to poor families.
Considering this matter, 3.5 lakh more houses may be sanctioned.
Government would provide financial support to prospective buyers by providing financial assistance to prospective home buyers. An amount o Rs. 2.30 lakh would be given to them through CLSS (Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme). MIG candidates can also avail benefits of CLSS component of PMAY.
Officials of Union Ministry had a discussion about Tamil Nadu RERA (Real Estate Regulation Act) & Andaman and Nicobar. Applications are invited offline for Tamil Nadu Housing Scheme. Though TNRERA official portal has been launched, online registrations will also be invited shortly.
