Tamil Nadu government plan to construct around 70,000 houses and apartments in Trichy district by 2022 as per survey report district collector Mr. K Rajamani said that around 70,000 houses would be required to be constructed in Trichy district Tamil Nadu. The governments have planned to provide own a house to everyone in the five year. The collector added that the upcoming building at vannarapettai would be the second tallest government apartment building in the state after the one at Chennai.As per the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board (TNSCB) report about 24,000 apartment houses and 46,000 houses required in the city.
TNSCB, Trichy executive engineer s suresh said as per the survey for the requirement of the houses based on the demand, the construction of the 1000 houses id going on and around 6,000 houses will be constructed by this year. The government will work to complete all houses by 2022.
The house will be constructed on 402.96sqft at the estimated cost of Rs.32.31 core on a total ara of 0.6805 hectares. Executive Engineer Suresh also said a three-floor apartment with 685 houses has already constructed at a cost of Rs.46.35 crore at Peechankulam in Palakarai area Trichy.
