The state government of Bihar has launched Mukhayamantri Gramin Awas Yojana for SC/ST/OBC families of Bihar state. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated this ambitions hosing scheme. Under the Mukhayamantri Gramin Awas Yojana scheme, the state government will provide an assistance of Rs.1.2 lakh for rebuilding of homes to those people who have been allotted houses before 1996 under India Awas Yojana or other housing scheme. In the first 5 months, more than 20,000 beneficiaries willget assistance amount from the state government under Mukhayamantri Gramin Awas Yojana scheme.
The primary objective of the government behind launching the Mukhayamantri Gramin Awas Yojana (MGAY) is to improve the condition of the homes of the poor families and to live in a good home. Along with the launch of Mukhayamantri Gramin Awas Yojana (MGAY) scheme, the state government has also launched Mukhyamantri Vass Sthal Kray Sahayata Yojana to provide assistance of Rs.60,000 to purchase land and to make them eligible for assistance under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G) housing scheme.
Bihar Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana (MGAY)
All those people who have been allotted new houses under Indira Awas Yojana or other housing scheme before the financial year 1996 can now get the financial assistance of Rs.1.2 lakh for reconstruction of houses. The state government has launched this scheme because the houses allotted before 1996 are now in disreputable conditions and needs to be reconstructed. This scheme will benefits particularly people belonging to SC/ST/OBC category resides in these houses.
During the launching program of this scheme.CM Nitish kumar transferred the assistance amount in the bank account of 200 beneficiaries.
